Harrington Library Consortium maintains the Web presence for all participating libraries in the library system and handles the collection of the digital or electronic resources provided through Lovett Memorial's Web site. Lovett Memorial updates and posts its policies and activities, etc., to the Web site, but the Web site is actually provided through HLC. Among the Web site's many offerings is "Tumble Books" for kids; several versions of the encyclopedia; Chilton Auto Repair Manuals; TexShare -- and much, much more.
From the Web site, a Pampa patron may access his or her account to: 1) view items checked out on the account; 2) renew items checked out on the account; and/or 3) place holds on items through the account. A note of caution: Holds can only be placed on material owned by Lovett Library. To obtain an item from another library, a patron must place an interlibrary loan request. To log onto your account from the library Web site, you must have the number on the back of your card (no letters/no spaces) and your 4-digit PIN. And, remember, if you renew an item or items online, you must do so BEFORE the due date. :)
Are you aware that card-holders may use the card catalog to look up items from throughout the entire library system? The beauty of this feature is that if Lovett Memorial does not own an item you are seeking you may use your Pampa card at any HLC-member library. So ... if you make frequent trips to Amarillo, the materials in those Amarillo branches are at your disposal! The only catch is that you must return the item or items to the library from which you checked them out. You cannot, for example, return an item checked out in Borger or in Amarillo to your local library.
